TEIJIN ARAMID
ABOUT THE PROJECT
A former aramid lab transformed into working space, where the architecture refers to the different layers of the history of the place.
The contrast between the brick work, associated to the area historical industrial background, and the strict light grid volume related to the 50's neighbourhood architecture, makes the building an amusing history book.
The high volume grid has been design in a smart and functional way, meeting all the requirements for a flexible interior space. A dynamic facade was the solution to the challenge of reusing the existing structure while creating an operative office grid.
A modern appearance has been achieved by the variety of vertical lines and different modules, in addition to the choice of a light colour palette.
In the intersection of the two contrasting volumes, the entrance to the building is located. A double height space opens through the transparent curtain wall, sharing the vibrant interior with all the visitors.
